Why are IV Nutritional Therapies more effective?

Intravenous administration of nutrients can achieve highly effective levels of nutrients not obtainable with oral, or even intramuscular administration.

Eg: Increasing oral intake of Vitamin C from 200 mg to 2,500 mg, changes plasma concentration from 1.2 mg/dL to only 1.5 mg/dL. (A small rise of 0.3 in spite of increasing oral Vitamin C by 12 times)

In contrast, IV administration of 50 g/day of vitamin C results in a mean peak plasma level of 80 mg/dL

Similarly, oral supplementation with magnesium results in little or no change in serum magnesium concentrations, whereas IV administration can double or triple the serum levels and help drive it into the red blood cells which is where it performs its function.

Also several oral supplements have binding agents which significantly reduce the body’s ability to absorb the vitamin/mineral in question.

Intravenous administration of nutrients on the other hand bypass the digestive process and are directly absorbed into the blood stream…this is not only more bio-available to body but is also a far more effective approach.

The benefits of IV Nutritional Therapy have been clinically proven over several decades.
